Nursing Career Opportunities
Staff Nurse Requirements
RN I
  • Bachelor's or Master's from an accredited School of Nursing
  • At least 6 months of experience in an acute hospital setting
  • Registered Nurse with current Texas license or Compact license
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
RN II
  • Bachelor's or Master's from an accredited School of Nursing
  • At least 18 months of experience in an acute hospital setting
  • Register nurse with current Texas license or Compact license
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
RN II (ADN)
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Associate's degree in Nursing
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience in an acute hospital setting
  • Candidates with 2 to 10 years of RN experience in an acute care hospital must enroll in a BSN program within a year of hire and complete their BSN successfully by Dec. 31, 2019
  • Registered Nurse with current Texas license or Compact license
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Nursing Support Opportunities
Medical Assistant Requirements
  • 2 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant
  • High School Diploma
PCA Requirements
PCA I
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • If certified  (CNA or MA),  6 months acute care hospital experience
  • If not certified, a minimum 18 months’ Nursing Assistant experience or medical assistant experience in an acute hospital setting
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
PCA II
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • If certified  (CNA or MA),  24 months acute care hospital experience
  • If not certified, a minimum 36 months’ Nursing Assistant experience or medical assistant experience in an acute hospital setting
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
